Philosophy

We believe that every child is unique and has a wonderful contribution to make to the world. We believe that they have smiles to give, laughter to share, connections to make and always have something to say. And although we may not always understand what they are trying to say, it is our job to help them find a way to say it.

It is our philosophy that both the child with autism and the therapist can learn from each other. It is as much the job of the therapist to listen as it is to teach. We believe we cannot effectively teach until we take the time to listen and to understand.

We believe that communication is the essential element that connects each of us to the world and that to communicate is to engage. It is our goal to help them connect to the world. We value who these children and young adults are. Our goal is to help them be the best possible version of themselves. We believe that focusing on language, communication skills and social interactions is a critical element to achieving this goal.
