UPDATE!! STATE of IL, CITY, MUNICIPAL, AND COUNTY EMPLOYEES
IL Law, Public Act 95-1005, passed in December of 2008 establishes a $36,000 benefit for services provided to children diagnosed with autism. It is commonly misunderstood that State of IL, City, Municipal, and County employees are not eligible because the policy is self insured. However, the law clearly states that exclusions are: "SELF-INSURED, NON-PUBLIC employers." Therefore, State of IL, City, Municipal, and County employees are eligible to participate.
